Dalton Center
Western Michigan University's Irving S. Gilmore School of Music is housed in the Dorothy U. Dalton Center. Boasting 157,000 square feet, or the equivalent of 4.5 football fields, Dalton Center's distinctive spaces include two recital halls, a professional recording studio, various music production workstations and studios, a state-of-the-art multimedia room, a computer lab, a keyboard lab, and one of the world's largest installations of prefabricated, sound-isolated practice rooms and teaching studios. Dalton Center is adjacent to the nationally recognized James W. Miller Auditorium, an accessible venue for featuring the music school's large ensemble performances and festivals.
